About the Sanity Nanny

Hello – I’m Juliet Robinson, the Sanity Nanny.

People ask me why I do what I do, and the answer is simple. I’ve been fascinated by babies and children from a young age – I guess I’ve always had a gift for tuning into them and understanding their needs.

Knowing that even the most well-intentioned of parents don’t always have this instinct, it was only natural that I would want to share my skills and abilities with as many parents as possible.

Through Sanity Nanny, I get to do just that – by applying holistic advice, valuable insights and tailored family lifestyle and childcare programmes.

Early years, early days

I remember attending a christening when I was around 10 years old and not being able to take my eyes off the baby. I spent most of the day secretly hoping she would wake so I could hold her.

Years later, when I was doing my childcare training, a three-year-old boy came up to me and said, “I’m going to take you home for lunch” – I’d only met him that morning!

Some people are good at business and find making money easy, others are good at processes and systems.

“I’ve always been good at helping exhausted and struggling parents figure out what their child needs to magically eat, sleep and behave well.”

After studying childcare and human development, I began working as a nanny/maternity nurse and later qualified as a Montessori teacher.

Now, with over 30 years of experience, I work as a sleep consultant and family lifestyle mentor, helping busy, ambitious parents to achieve the perfect balance between work and family life with none of the guilt.

I have a particular interest in helping anxious mothers who may be suffering from postnatal depression, and parents dealing with extreme stress as a result of losing a baby or child.

I’ve been lucky enough to care for the children of rich and well-known families – using the Montessori philosophy to teach them to sleep, eat, behave well and learn about life – and my family work and book* have taken me around the world, from London and New York to Australia and New Zealand.

There’s nothing I love more than providing peace of mind, reassurance and – above all – evidence that family life doesn’t have to be a struggle.

Why work with me?

Childcare is a rollercoaster of ups and downs. When you’re sleep deprived, you simply can’t give your best to your children, and both your family life and your relationship can suffer enormously.

The first five years are the hardest, yet they’re also the most influential – so what do you do?

What many parents don’t know is that, with a little knowledge and some simple, effective techniques, those sleepless nights can be avoided.

That’s where I come in.

How does it work?

I work with high-achieving professionals and entrepreneurs who are experiencing long and short-term sleep and behavioural issues.

After an initial confidential consultation, I’ll tailor a programme that empowers you to achieve lasting results within days. Simply choose the level of service you want, depending on your preferences and budget.
